Morris Twins Efforts Feel Short As The Rockets Beat The
Suns 115-112 by Van Stone frontpagenews1@yahoo.com

The Suns’ Marcus and Markieff Morris keep kicking back
the Rockets throughout the 3 quarters of good basketball. But, the Rockets surprised the crowd by the
outcome of the 115-112 win against the Suns. The twins participated in just
adding San Antonio to the list of teams they've run off the court recently.
Since January 22nd the Suns have double digit wins against the Indiana
Pacers, Golden St. Warriors and San Antonio. Phoenix is 11-4 in its last 15
games.
The Suns are 33-22 after 55 games, their
best 55-game start since 2007-08. This loss will not prevent the Suns from
making Philly proud – the Suns are getting into the playoffs as long as the Morris
twins are healthy.
Yet, the Suns only needed to play better
against Dwight Howard and the Rockets. The Houston game was very close. The
Suns prior three opponents (Denver, Boston, San Antonio) didn't crack 40%
shooting, while Houston shot 53%.
Goran Dragic reminded the Rockets (once again) what they
were missing by slicing them apart and hitting threes as if they were going out
of style.
Still Marcus Morris played pretty good hard defense to
keep the Suns holding a tight lead. With a Gerald Green banked three to end the
third quarter, the Suns took a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter.
Yet, the Rockets clawed back and tied the game at 100.
Then Markieff Morris hit a lay-up and got fouled with 47
seconds left to put the Suns up 2, it looked like the
Rockets wouldn’t be able
to come back to take the game. But
Morris missed the free throw.
But no one noticed Patrick Beverley He started in the
corner for the play, but as Harden drove, Dragic came over to help. Bev moved
from the corner to the win and Harden found him for the huge three.
Nevertheless, Marcus and Markieff Morris will step up
more and help the Suns to get into the playoffs. The Suns have 5 home games to only 1 road
game in the next week and a half before a long stretch of travel to end the
season, and need only to go 15-12 to finish with 48 wins and a near-certain
playoff berth. With Eric Bledsoe returning in the next 1-2 weeks, the Suns are
the team to beat. And Philly is yelling
for them to win past the playoff berth.
