Robin Thicke and Paula Patton Split After 8 Years of Marriage

The lines are no longer blurred.
Robin Thicke, 36, and Paula Patton, 38, have separated after eight years of marriage.
"We will always love each other
and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at
this time," the couple said in a statement.
The high school sweethearts met
in Los Angeles when Thicke was just 14 and Patton, 16. They married in
2005 and welcomed their only child, son Julian Fuego, in April 2010.
The split comes after months of
unfriendly rumors that the "Blurred Lines" crooner had been cheating on
Patton. In August, Thicke was spotted grabbing a female fan's bottom in a
Miami club and in January the sexy singer was photographed locking lips
with an unknown woman at a Paris nightclub.
Despite Thicke's alleged escapades, he regularly spoke about the wonderful marriage he shared with the "2 Guns" actress and told Elle in an October interview, "The spice is not our problem. We're overspiced. We could probably take a few spices off the shelf."
Clearly, the spice shelf has been cleaned out — at least for now.
Thicke, who is currently out on
his "Blurred Lines" tour, canceled his show at Universal Orlando Resort
in Florida on Saturday and claimed he was ill. However, a source tells
"The Insider With Yahoo" that Thicke "had been having vocal issues … but
also wanted to come back to Los Angeles to be with his son and family
while the family made the final decision to go forward with the
announcement of the separation."
The singer was spotted at Disneyland on Sunday with his son, but Patton was nowhere to be seen.
There is no immediate word on
divorce plans. "Robin loves Julian fiercely and didn't care about losing
the $500,000 [as a result of] canceling [his show] to be with his son,"
a source told "The Insider."
Thicke is scheduled to resume his tour on Tuesday in North Carolina.
